First seen Jan 17, 2026 · Last updated May 05, 2026 · Updated 12 times

Summary

This study looks at whether adding sleep-focused treatments to standard psychiatric care can reduce suicide risk in young adults who are already in an intensive outpatient program for depression and suicidal thoughts. About 90 college students with sleep problems will be randomly assigned to one of three sleep interventions. Researchers will track their suicidal thoughts, behaviors, and depression over 6 months to see which approach works best.
