Stand up for your health: simple swap may lower blood sugar

NCT ID NCT04645875

First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study tested whether replacing sitting with standing or walking during daily life could improve blood sugar levels in South Asian adults who are overweight or obese. Eighteen participants followed two regimens: one with more sitting and one with less sitting. The goal was to see if less sitting led to better glucose control. The results could suggest a simple way to help manage blood sugar without medication.
