First seen Mar 11, 2026 · Last updated Jun 16, 2026 · Updated 23 times

Summary

This study tests whether siponimod, a drug already used for multiple sclerosis, can safely slow brain shrinkage in people with mild Alzheimer's disease. About 105 participants will receive either the drug or a placebo for 12 months, then be monitored for another 6 months. The main goal is to check safety, while researchers also measure changes in brain volume, thinking skills, and disease-related markers.
