One-and-Done radiation: a new hope for lung cancer patients after surgery?

NCT ID NCT04073745

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 31, 2026 · Updated 33 times

Summary

This early-stage study tests whether giving a single, very focused dose of radiation after lung cancer surgery is safe and causes fewer side effects than standard weeks-long radiation. It involves 50 adults with non-small cell lung cancer who had surgery but still have cancer cells at the edge of the removed tissue or cancer in nearby lymph nodes. The main goals are to see how many patients have serious side effects and whether this approach allows them to start other treatments sooner.
