One-and-Done radiation: new hope for lung cancer patients after surgery?

NCT ID NCT04073745

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a single, precise dose of radiation given after surgery for non-small cell lung cancer is safe and effective. Standard radiation requires many small doses over weeks, which can damage healthy lung tissue. The trial involves 50 adults who had lung cancer surgery but still have cancer cells at the edge of the removed tissue or cancer in nearby lymph nodes. The goal is to see if this one-time treatment can kill remaining cancer cells with fewer side effects.
