First seen Jun 27, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study examines whether SGLT2 inhibitors, a type of diabetes drug, can improve red blood cell production and heart/kidney function in people with chronic heart failure. Researchers will compare blood tests, heart ultrasound measures, and clinical outcomes between 85 patients who started the drug and a matched group who did not, over 12 months. The goal is to understand how these drugs might help beyond blood sugar control.
