Summary

This study tests a six-session program called SER Familia, designed to help Latino immigrant families reduce stress from adapting to a new culture and build resilience. The goal is to prevent serious health issues like substance abuse, intimate partner violence, HIV risk, depression, and anxiety. About 400 families with a parent who immigrated and a child aged 12-17 will take part. Community health workers deliver the program in English or Spanish.
