Could your Self-Perception predict a fall? new study investigates

NCT ID NCT07367763

Summary

This study aims to understand if a person's self-awareness—their ability to recognize their own strengths and limitations—is linked to their risk of falling while walking. Researchers will test about 100 adults aged 60-85, measuring their thinking skills, self-awareness, and walking patterns. The goal is to see if poor self-awareness is a new, independent risk factor for falls, which could lead to better prevention programs.
