Summary
This study tests whether taking a daily selenium supplement (200 micrograms) can reduce hospitalizations and heart-related deaths in people with heart failure. Selenium is a nutrient important for heart health, and low levels are common in Northern Europe. The trial will include over 4,300 adults in Sweden and Norway who are already receiving standard heart failure care.
