First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tests whether adding chia and pumpkin seeds to a standard healthy diet can lower triglyceride levels in people with hypertriglyceridemia. 375 adults with moderately high triglycerides will follow a balanced diet for 4 weeks, with half also eating seeds. The goal is to see if these affordable, traditional Mexican foods can improve blood fat levels and fatty acid profiles.
