Seed cycling: a natural way to tame PMS?
NCT ID NCT07575698
First seen May 13, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026
Summary
This study looked at whether eating certain seeds during different parts of the menstrual cycle can help with premenstrual syndrome (PMS) symptoms. 48 healthy women aged 18-35 with regular cycles took part. For three months, they ate flax and pumpkin seeds in the first half of their cycle and sesame and sunflower seeds in the second half. The goal was to see if this simple diet change could reduce PMS symptoms like mood swings and bloating.
