Summary

This study tests a communication tool called Best Case/Worst Case-ICU for older adults (50+) with serious injuries in the ICU. Researchers want to see if it improves how families and doctors talk, reduces stress for clinicians, and shortens ICU stays. About 4,500 patients, 1,500 family members, and 1,600 clinicians from 8 hospitals are taking part.
