Summary
This study tested if it's safe for people with obesity to go home the same day after a specific type of gastric bypass surgery (FundoRing method) instead of staying overnight. 200 adults were randomly assigned to either same-day or one-day discharge. Researchers tracked complications, readmissions, and weight loss over 12 months to see if same-day discharge is a safe option.
