First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a simple breathing measurement taken before weight-loss surgery can predict if a patient will have low oxygen levels in the first 12 hours after the operation. Researchers will study 80 adults having weight-loss surgery and check how well the ROX index (a breathing test) works compared to other risk scores. The goal is to help doctors identify high-risk patients early and improve their care.
