NCT ID NCT07679880
First seen Jul 01, 2026 · Last updated Jul 01, 2026
Summary
This study looks at whether people with diabetes experience more pain after a second root canal treatment compared to those without diabetes. About 50 adults with a single-rooted tooth needing retreatment will take part. Pain levels and painkiller use will be tracked for a week after the procedure. The study also explores how blood sugar control and diabetes medications relate to pain.

What this could lead to
If successful, this study could help dentists better manage pain after root canal retreatment in people with diabetes.
