Summary
This study looks at how certain immune cells, called meta-inflammatory monocytes, along with body composition and diet, may lead to insulin resistance in teenagers. Researchers will collect blood samples and health information from 175 adolescents aged 14–18, including those with normal weight, overweight, obesity, or type 2 diabetes. The goal is to better understand early signs of metabolic disease, not to test a treatment.
