First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 32 times
Summary
This study tested whether a three-drug combination containing rifabutin works better than other treatments for people whose H. pylori infection did not clear with earlier antibiotics. 360 adults who had failed prior treatment took one of three therapies. The main goal was to see which treatment cleared the infection most often, measured by a breath test six weeks later. Side effects were also tracked.
