NCT ID NCT06850870
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 25 times
Summary
This pilot study tests whether a door-through-door rideshare service with a trained companion driver helps older adults (60+) with Alzheimer's or related dementias attend more medical appointments compared to standard curb-to-curb rideshare. About 120 participants in the San Francisco Bay Area will be randomly assigned to one of the two ride options. The main goal is to see if the companion service reduces missed appointments and improves quality of life.
