First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 16 times

Summary

This study tests whether a simple, non-invasive eye scan can help doctors assess heart failure severity. Researchers will look at blood vessels in the retina and compare them to standard heart failure tests. The goal is to see if retinal imaging can provide useful information about microvascular health and treatment response. 250 adults with or without heart failure will participate.
