NCT ID NCT02905799

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study tested whether resveratrol, a natural substance found in grapes and red wine, can reduce pain in people with knee osteoarthritis. 142 adults with painful knee arthritis took either resveratrol or a placebo pill daily for three months. Researchers measured changes in knee pain and daily function to see if the supplement helped more than a dummy pill.
