First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 28 times

Summary

This study tests whether burning certain nerves near the kidneys and abdomen can help control blood pressure and blood sugar in people with resistant hypertension and type 2 diabetes. Twenty adults aged 18-75 with high blood pressure despite multiple medications and poorly controlled diabetes will undergo a catheter-based procedure. Researchers will measure changes in blood pressure and HbA1c levels over three months to see if the treatment is safe and effective.
