At-Home brain tests could revolutionize neurological diagnosis
NCT ID NCT05819008
First seen Apr 03, 2026
Summary
This study is testing whether a new digital test battery, Mindmore Distance, can accurately assess thinking and memory skills in people with neurological conditions like stroke, Parkinson's, or multiple sclerosis. Researchers will compare results from home-based computer tests with standard in-person tests. If the digital version works well, it could make cognitive testing more accessible for patients who live far from hospitals.

What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
What this could lead to
If successful, this could allow patients to get reliable cognitive testing from home, reducing travel and wait times for diagnosis.
What could go wrong
This is a validation study, not a treatment trial. The digital tests may not match the accuracy of in-person assessments, and results may not apply to all patients or languages.
Conditions
