First seen Jan 16, 2026 · Last updated May 17, 2026 · Updated 15 times

Summary

This study tests whether a newer sedative, remimazolam, combined with alfentanil, can lower the chance of low oxygen levels (hypoxia) during egg retrieval for IVF. About 400 women aged 18-50 will be randomly assigned to receive either remimazolam or the standard drug propofol. The goal is to find a safer sedation method for this common fertility procedure.
