Summary

This study tests a group counseling program combined with peer support to help adults with obesity, skin disease, cancer, HIV, diabetes, or chronic pain reduce the internal shame and worry caused by health-related stigma. Researchers want to see if this approach improves quality of life and lessens the burden of stigma. About 195 participants will be followed for 26 weeks.
