Scientists test Triple-Threat therapy to wipe out rectal tumors
NCT ID NCT07198165
Summary
This study is testing a new combination of treatments for people with locally advanced rectal cancer. The goal is to see if adding an immunotherapy drug to a standard mix of radiation, chemotherapy, and a targeted drug can better shrink tumors before surgery. Researchers will compare the two approaches in 104 patients to find which one leads to more complete tumor disappearance and better long-term control of the cancer.
