New study aims to find best treatment for older rectal cancer patients

Summary
This study compares two standard treatment approaches for older adults (age 70 and up) with locally advanced rectal cancer. The goal is to see which approach helps people live longer and with fewer side effects. About 230 participants will be randomly assigned to one of the two treatment plans.
