Summary
This study tested whether pyridoxamine, a form of vitamin B6, can improve the function of small blood vessels in the eyes, kidneys, and skin of people with type 2 diabetes. The researchers enrolled 40 adults with type 2 diabetes and signs of microvascular problems. Participants took pyridoxamine or a placebo in a crossover design to see if the supplement could reduce damage caused by high blood sugar.
