First seen Feb 02, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 13 times
Summary
This study looks at 200 people with severe COVID-19 who needed intensive care. The goal is to find out how many develop permanent lung scarring (pulmonary fibrosis), what factors increase that risk, and whether scarring affects survival or time on a breathing machine. Researchers will use CT scans and blood tests to detect fibrosis without invasive procedures.
