Summary

This early-stage study will test whether psilocybin, the active ingredient in magic mushrooms, is safe and tolerable for people trying to quit methamphetamine. Twenty adults in northern Louisiana who want to stop using meth will receive psilocybin in a controlled setting. Researchers will track how many people stay in the study, whether they reduce or stop meth use, and how their mood and quality of life change.
