Can a simple check replace High-Tech anesthesia monitoring?
NCT ID NCT07590388
First seen Jun 27, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study looked at whether a simple scoring method called PRST (which checks blood pressure, heart rate, sweating, and tears) can accurately measure how deep a patient's anesthesia is during surgery. 183 adults having elective surgery were monitored either with PRST alone or PRST plus a standard brain-wave monitor (BIS). The goal was to see if the simple method works as well as the high-tech one.
