Proton beam trial aims to halt rare chest cancer

Summary
This study tests whether proton beam radiation can slow or stop the growth of a rare chest cancer called malignant pleural mesothelioma. About 148 adults with early-stage disease will receive radiation to one side of the chest. The goal is to see if this treatment helps people live longer without the cancer getting worse.
