First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 29 times
Summary
This study looks at whether adding protein drinks to the diet can prevent muscle wasting in people with heart failure. About 120 adults with severe heart failure will be split into three groups: no extra protein, low-dose protein, or high-dose protein. Researchers will measure changes in arm and leg muscle mass over time to see if the supplements help.
