New MRI study aims to unlock secrets of prostate cancer recurrence after radiation

Summary

This study uses detailed MRI scans and biopsies to learn why some men's prostate cancer returns after radiation treatment. About 300 men with intermediate or high-risk prostate cancer, or whose cancer has come back after earlier treatments, will be followed for years. The goal is to improve future treatment by better understanding how tumors respond to radiation.
