First seen Feb 28, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 7 times

Summary

This study tested whether a technique called axillary reverse mapping with lympho-venous bypass could prevent or reduce arm swelling (lymphedema) in people having lymph nodes removed for breast cancer or melanoma. The approach aimed to preserve or reroute the arm's lymph drainage during surgery. The study was stopped early, so results are limited.
