NCT ID NCT07343583

First seen Jan 21, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 15 times

Summary

This study tests if gentle electrical stimulation of leg or lower back nerves can prevent bladder overactivity in people with a recent spinal cord injury. About 45 adults with injuries above the T11 level and within 6 months of injury will be randomly assigned to receive tibial nerve stimulation, sacral nerve stimulation, or standard care. The goal is to see if early nerve stimulation can stop bladder problems from developing, helping patients avoid high bladder pressure and incontinence.
