Which risk score best predicts heart surgery survival?
NCT ID NCT06770738
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study looked at 320 adults who had heart surgery to see how well two different risk scores (EuroSCORE-II and POSPOM) predict the chance of dying in the hospital. Researchers calculated each patient's scores before surgery and compared them to what actually happened. The goal was to find out which score is more accurate, so doctors can better prepare patients for surgery.
