Sleep apnea study seeks to uncover hidden heart risks

NCT ID NCT03062748

First seen Jun 27, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study compares two ways to predict heart and metabolic problems in people with mild-to-moderate obstructive sleep apnea: one based on inflammation in the body, and the other based on how severe the sleep apnea is. Researchers will measure things like waist size, blood pressure, cholesterol, and blood sugar in 196 adults. The goal is to find out which factor better identifies those at risk, which could lead to better screening and prevention.
