NCT ID NCT06124079

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tested a mobile app called OPY that helps patients manage pain and safely use opioids after surgery. Over 3,400 adults who had outpatient surgery and received an opioid prescription took part. The app provided daily tips, tracked pain and side effects, and encouraged patients to stop opioids and dispose of leftovers. The goal was to see if the app reduced opioid use and improved pain control compared to standard care.
