Summary

This study tested a mobile app called OPY that helps patients control pain and safely reduce opioid use after surgery. Over 3,400 adults who had outpatient surgery and received an opioid prescription used the app to track pain, get tips, and receive reminders to stop opioids. The goal was to see if the app leads to less opioid use and better pain management.
