New clinic aims to keep liver patients out of the hospital

Summary

This study tests a transitional care clinic for people with advanced liver disease after they leave the hospital. The goal is to reduce 30-day readmissions and improve quality of life. About 1,000 adults with cirrhosis or alcoholic hepatitis will be randomly assigned to the clinic or standard care.
