First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This early-stage study tested whether posaconazole, a drug normally used for fungal infections, can get into glioblastoma brain tumors at levels high enough to stop cancer cells from dividing. Only 7 people took part before the study was stopped early. The goal was to see if the drug should be studied further as a possible treatment.
