First seen Jun 27, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study looked at two ways of doing a knee realignment surgery (open wedge high tibial osteotomy) to see which one keeps the important blood vessels behind the knee safer. 40 people with knee arthritis took part. Researchers used CT scans to measure the distance between the surgical cut and the popliteal vessels, aiming to find the safer technique.
