Could a lung drug stop pancreatitis Flare-Ups?

Summary
This study tests a drug called pirfenidone, currently used for lung disease, to see if it can safely reduce repeat attacks of pancreatitis. About 60 adults who have had two or more pancreatitis episodes will receive either the drug or a placebo. The goal is to lower the number and severity of future attacks and related hospital visits.
