First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This study tests a new tool: a capsule about the size of a fish oil pill attached to a string that takes pictures inside the lower gut. It is inserted without sedation and moves slowly upward using a motor. The goal is to see if it can get clear images of the lower GI tract in 30 people who are either healthy or have Lynch syndrome, Crohn disease, or inflammatory bowel disease.
