Robot pets calm ICU patients, boost breathing success

Summary
This study tests whether a robotic pet companion can reduce anxiety in ICU patients who are trying to breathe on their own after being on a ventilator. 24 adults who have failed one breathing trial will receive the robotic pet intervention. The goal is to see if it helps them stay calm and succeed in their next breathing trial.
