Mayo clinic tailors weight loss drugs to your brain and gut

Summary
This study aims to find the best weight loss medication for people with bipolar disorder by first identifying their specific eating patterns, like 'emotional hunger' or 'hungry gut.' Researchers will match 100 participants to one of three FDA-approved weight loss drugs or a no-medication group based on these patterns. All participants will also take part in a 12-week virtual group therapy program focused on weight loss.
