First seen Mar 27, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 6 times
Summary
This study tests whether trained peer mentors—people who have cared for a loved one with Lewy body dementia—can help current caregivers feel less stressed and more knowledgeable. About 500 caregivers will be randomly assigned to receive either weekly mentoring sessions or educational links. The goal is to see if this support improves caregiver well-being and quality of life for the person with dementia.
