Magnetic pulses aim to boost heart health in blocked arteries
NCT ID NCT05111288
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests whether a device called Bioboosti, which delivers pulsed electromagnetic fields, can improve blood flow to the heart in people with coronary artery disease. Researchers will measure blood flow during stress and track symptoms like chest pain and exercise capacity. The study involves 120 participants who cannot undergo standard artery-opening procedures.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
Pulsed electromagnetic field therapy (PEMF) device
What this could lead to
If it works, this could offer a noninvasive way to improve blood flow to the heart for people with coronary artery disease who cannot have standard procedures.
What could go wrong
This is an early study with only 120 participants, and it uses a sham device for comparison. The treatment may not improve blood flow or symptoms, and results may not apply to all heart patients.
