First seen Mar 14, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 6 times
Summary
This early-stage study tested a combination of an immunotherapy drug (pembrolizumab) and precise radiation (stereotactic radiosurgery) in 25 people with melanoma or lung cancer that had spread to the brain. The main goal was to check for serious side effects. The approach aims to control the disease by helping the immune system attack tumors while radiation targets them directly.
