Could a text message from a fellow caregiver ease the burden of dementia care?
NCT ID NCT07346183
Summary
This study tests whether connecting dementia caregivers with trained peer mentors and personalized community resource lists can improve their well-being. Over 330 caregivers will receive education, resource information, and ongoing text message support for 12 months. Researchers want to see if this support reduces feelings of loneliness, stress, and burden while increasing caregivers' confidence in finding help.
