NCT ID NCT07453472

First seen Mar 14, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 10 times

Summary

This study tests two non-invasive treatments for oral leukoplakia, a condition that can turn into mouth cancer. About 166 adults with the condition will receive either a light-activated therapy (photodynamic therapy) or a vitamin D-based cream (calcipotriol) for 4 weeks. The goal is to see which treatment better shrinks or removes the abnormal mouth patches and improves quality of life, while tracking side effects and recurrence.
