Summary

This study tested a special anesthesia method during heart surgery in 70 older adults (age 60+). The goal was to see if it could lower the risk of confusion after surgery, keep blood pressure stable, and reduce pain and opioid use. The approach used brain monitoring to guide anesthesia and a planned pain management plan after surgery.
